Deleting blocked numbers on messages list
How do you fully delete the phone numbers associated with blocked numbers in messages that are not contacts? I can only see an “unblock” option and not a “delete” option.
iPhone 5c, iOS 10

You're not addressing Apple here. This is a user to user tech support forum, hosted by Apple, and we're just users like you. That said, in my opinion, in addition to the explanations I have already given you, that list must remain available for people who decide to unblock previously blocked numbers, whatever the reason they want to do it.
But if you'd like, you can submit your request/comment/suggestion to Apple directly, using this link:
Apple – Product Feedback - iPhone
Thanks and regards

Delete a number? Unsure I can understand your question.
Blocking a number means that that number can't call you (or send you any SMS/iMessage). You can't delete their number since it is not among your contact.
If you meant something different, please better explain your needs.

Inside the messages app... There is a list of the numbers that were blocked that are being unnecessarily stored under the blocked messages tab. There’s no need to keep a running list of a number that is blocked that I never need again. How do I delete that list? When i click edit it just gives me the option to unblock them. Thanks.
That list (the same that you can see also in Settings>Phone) is checked by your iPhone.
Using that list, it can prevent unwanted phone calls, text messages, or Facetime calls coming from your blocked numbers.
Having no blocked numbers list, how can your iphone check and/or prevent incoming calls?
iPhone can keep the list I just don’t want to see it. I guess you can’t help me then. Thanks for trying.
