yesterday I bought a new iPhone 11, I was cleaning the screen off and noticed there’s a small gap between the front glass and the bezel. Is this something I should worry about? Does it affect the water resistance?

It uses an adhesive seal for water resistance. If there's a gap, I'm pretty sure that means there's a gap in the seal.
Yes. You would have to persuade Apple that you didn't cause it. I've been there with a different device, but they looked over it closely and said it was considered damaged.
Even my phone has a gap at the right bottom side, and it looks like bezel is bulging out. I went to the Apple Store, and they told me it would be considered as a cosmetic issue; therefore, they would not replace it. I noticed it very late; so, I have to live with this bad experience. I hope you have got it replaced.

It's just been my experience that anything that looks like physical damage is assumed to be caused by the customer.
