How do I stop Apple TV app from automatically playing the next episode of a show in Apple TV+? I found answers how to not autoplay video previews or podcasts. But I can't seem to turn off automatically playing the next episode. If I fall asleep in front of the TV, then it could play through 3 or 4 episodes before I wake up and turn it off. And please don't tell me not to fall asleep in front of the tv. That's just a silly answer!

I just want to echo your frustration. Netflix is also auto playing everything including trailers making navigation impossible and Amazon is now auto playing trailers. Instead of offering the ability to toggle these things off they insist on pushing their content and eating our data. There are those who demand this feature apparently because they are too lazy to click a remote when they want to binge watch so to appease them Apple also has chosen to make this mandatory. I had originally intended to buy some of the major channels like HBO through them but because of this they lost my business. I can not even post a review on this App on my IPAD to inform others. And yes, my husband falls asleep often in front of a TV and it's maddening we can't toggle it off.
