Is there a way to test Apple Pay on my iPhone? It appears I have it installed properly when I open wallet, but when I try to use it at vending machines and a chase ATM there is no response. Is there a way to verify if it is working or if the feature is broken on my phone?

Please ensure that the vendor accepts Apple Pay so that you can test properly.

Are you using a supported card?
Apple Pay participating banks in Canada, Latin America, and the United States - Apple Support
Are you signed in to iCloud?
Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support
Are you using iOS 13.3?
If you answer "yes" to the above three questions, visit an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Center for assistance.
Thank you for the suggestion. I do have two cards already in my wallet. My credit card, which is confirmed with credit card company, and my chase debit card. I tried to use the wallet at both a vending machine (which accepts Apple Pay) and at a chase ATM (which also is marked that it accepts Apple Pay) and neither recognized my phone. I would like to know if there is some way to test if the Apple Pay hardware is broken on my phone. Thank you.

Yes I am certain. There is a picture of the Apple logo next to text saying “accepts Apple Pay”. I suspect that my phone is damaged and would like to confirm it.
Yes to all. I tried to use Apple Pay with my phone at Whole Foods today and it didn’t recognize anything. (Yes, accepts Apple Pay). I think something is broken.

Are you absolutely certain these machines accept Apple Pay? Certainly not all machines that accept wireless payment methods accept Apple Pay.
Therefore, it's time to visit an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Center. Let them assess the iPhone and advise you how to proceed.
