Changing the Apple ID associated with a phone from mine to my wife's Apple ID

My wife and I got fit bits for Christmas but we share an Apple ID. I have created a new Apple ID for her but need to change her Iphone 10 to her new Apple ID to pair it.

On her phone, follow the instructions here: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Then have her set it up as a new device using her Apple ID.
