Apple tv app has no sound when streaming on roku or appletv

I have the same issues. I cannot listen to any shows when using the private listening feature of the Roku remote or when I hook up my headphones to a Bluetooth transmitter that is hooked directly to optical audio from my TV. All other streaming apps/channels on my Roku works, only the Apple TV + app is not working with the audio.

I have the same problem on my Roku 4660X (Ultra) when I use my headphones plugged into the remote (private listening). All other apps stream sound except Apple TV. I live in an apartment with thin walls, so to keep from disturbing my neighbors I use my headphones 100% of the time so this is a bit of a problem for me. Roku software version 9.2.0 build 4807-46. Apple TV app is up to date.
