When I record a video through the Camera app, the audio playback is awful and consistently muffled. However, if I record video through any other app e.g. Snapchat, the audio is crystal clear. Anyone know what’s up?

Try updating your device’s firmware up to the latest version. If that does not work, try backing up your device via iTunes, format the device and then restore it. If that still does nothing, take the device to an Apple store or an Apple specialist store. You could also just use the Photos app to view video footage.
Will do. Should’ve clarified though. I do of course use the Photos app to view video, but anything that’s been recorded through the Camera app has audio problems regardless of where it’s being viewed.
