2019 MacBook Air 13” Track pad

My trackpad is extremely sensitive to the touch, it engages most everything that I track over, how can I desensitize it? It’s way more sensitive than my older MacBook Air

Trackpad touch sensitivity issue My macbook 's trackpad is less sensitive at the top right corner and it's edges as compared to the other sides and middle , although all gestures working well, But interesting things is that when I continuosly use my laptop for 1hour and more it seems the sensitivity is normal ,but after booting up the device for certain periods of time the issue occured? Am I stuck with a too-sensitive trackpad? MacBook Air (M1, 2020): I love the machine, but I have already adjusted settings as much as I'm able and it's still too sensitive. If I don't take my fingers completely away from the trackpad as I use it, I often find new windows opening, dialog boxes popping up, ads getting clicked on, etc. Yes, I have gone into trackpard preferences several times and adjusted everything I can find that ought to help and it doesn't. Is it a mechanical problem that will need repair? Is there a plug-in that could help? It's a real nuisance!

Have you gone into Settings -->> Trackpad and then tried adjusting clicking and tracking speed among other customizable functions? If you have not then try those adjustments and see if it makes a difference.

I did try that, but nothing will adjust the sensitivity
