You walk into apple store, they either told you out of warranty or to pay for a whole new handset price
Poor retail staff, either have limited technical experience , what they trying to do is up selling. Ignore customer experienced facing over the phone
The most ridiculous, they do not allow downgrade firmware. Everyday we live with the bug they release, is like spreading HIV on customer phone
I'm having the same issues as you, the phone keep bugging me with overheating and battery drain
