Dock will not load

Question

Dock will not load

On MacBook Pro (16 inch, 2019), MacOS Catalina 10.15.2, Dock won't load. When I first started using this MacBook the dock always loaded. Now it never loads.

Is there a fix?

Started in Safe Mode.

Then cleared out the Login Items within Users & Groups. Then

Within Finder opened the folder Library/LaunchAgents and removed 5 files that were there.

Rebooted into normal mode and emptied the trash.

It works as advertised now.

Safe mode stops certain peripherals and software running. Look back and see what you may have installed.

Download and run the free version of Malwarebytes

Ditto with app Etrecheck and paste the report here

Okay, it started again this morning with only one .plist file in the LaunchAgents folder. This file shows up each time I reboot. It is

from the HP printer. So I will try removing the printer driver and see what happens. I will run the Etrecheck later this morning. Malwarebytes scan said no issues.

It worked a few times and now it's intermittent. Sometimes it works on the first try. Now this morning I have to stay in safe mode just to have the dock. When I reboot out of safe mode then the dock is gone again. I shouldn't have to keep re-booting this new computer every time I want to use it.
