iPad has increased difficulty to find and connect to any Wi-Fi networks. any tips ?

this iPad may be a bit older(3rd Gen) but it is losing its ability to detect and connect with Wi-Fi networks anywhere in the world. Once connected it works fine, but has trouble reconnecting even to same network. Any tips on how to restore its "detection" capabilities ?

Hello,

Try resetting iPad's network settings in Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Be certain you do not select Erase All Content and Settings as this will erase all of your information. It is a good idea to perform a backup of your iPad prior to resetting its settings.

Thanks, did that reset before; tried again now but to no avail.

it seems as if the "antenna" does not work properly anymore,

as it does not detect any networks anymore.

Previously it detected and connected well,

over a few weeks it became more and more erratic to find and connect to known networks,

now it does not find any network anymore.

Any clue ?
