I have an iphone 5s and an iphone 7s, both will pair with other bluetooth devices, but will not pair with each other, Help

Thanks for that, I wanted to air drop a photograph to my wife's iphone, Iwas under the impression that I would have to pair the two phones first, after posting the question, I discovered that it wasn't necessary to pair.

They're not supposed to pair with each other.
What are you trying to do?
