iPhone says iPad is not supported as a Bluetooth device

I have no trouble pairing both my iPad and iPhone to external speakers or other devices, but they will not pair to each other.

I have an iPhone 8 and an iPad Air 2.

They “see” each other on the list of devices to select, but my iPhone gives me the message “pairing unsuccessful, XXX iPad is not supported.”

What can I do to fix this?

iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi

Looking at the wbesite, it looks like it should just automatically find other devices running the App over bluetooth when Wifi is not available.

Try turning off Wifi on both devices, and open the app, and see if they connect.

Nothing to fix.

iOS devices cannot pair to each other. This is by design.

What are you trying to accomplish exactly?

All things that require bluetooth on iOS devices do not require direct pairing.
