iPhone E-Sim/SIM Issue

Am using an iPhone 11 Pro Max since last October. Since my service provider in Singapore does not support e-sim yet, I got the e-sim activated for my other number from a different provider (from India). Past few months I’ve been facing weird issue. Once in a while, the physical sim becomes invalid and both my numbers become inactive. The physical sim shows inactive/invalid sim.

The only fix I’ve found is to remove the physical sim, after which the e-sim connects and starts working. Insert the physical sim in a spare non-iOS device where it becomes active and connects to the network. Remove the sim and reinsert it into thr iPhone and restart. Then both sims are active again where the physical is the primary number.

This is now happening on almost a daily basis and it’s pretty painful to keep carrying 2 phones only for this fix.

Does anyone have any idea why this could be happening? Have already tried the network reset, but issue still persists.

Thanks

Ashish

Have you performed a Forced Restart vs a standard shutdown and start?

If not then please try this Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Hope that works out for you the next time you have activate both eSIM/SIM and restart.
