Start up issue

Of late my MacBook Air does not start as soon as I press the power key. I need to hold it for about 5 - 7 seconds before it starts. Earlier it would start as soon as I press the power key. What could be the problem? Appreciate any help. Thanks

I suggest that you try resetting your notebook's SMC to see if that can resolve this issue.
