After way too many simultaneous software software updates, I am having new problems with IOS Safari.

I suspect (without a solid basis) the recent (welcomed) changes to support multiple active sessions for the iPad under IOS Safari.

I am running the J Language JHS (J HTTP Server) IDE, (which offers a Web-based interactive development environment for the extremely powerful J Language (think Ken Iverson, Roger Hui, APL, and Eric Iverson's company J Software).

Before foolishly updating all my Apple software (iPhone, iPad, Mac mini) and a new release of J, all was well.

But now, my IOS devices are unable to connect to the Mac mini (via a safari address using a local LAN address:port) to run JHS correctly. Basic menu items in JHS, which simply opened new Web pages under Safari, fail to open new tabs.

I suspect IOS Safari, since browsers from other devices connected to JHS on my Mac mini continue work correctly as before. These devices include a Win machine using Edge, an old (2007) Mac Book using early Safari, as well as an original iPad stuck back on IOS 5.1.1!

Sound like any problems others have encountered?

Me again: I'm now convinced the problem is due to IOS & iPadOS 13.3.

I replaced Safari with a different browser (Opera Touch) and my iPhone reached my Mac mini and was able to open new tabs with menu commands from the JHS app. In other words, the problem was eliminated by avoiding Safari under 13.3.

(FWIW, I also encountered a handful of input and display problems in iPadOS when safari was not involved.)

One further comment I forgot to mention:

Just as I can reach the MacMini from my IOS devices by putting, in their Safari URL space: ipdadress:port/cmd, I can put either localhost:port/cmd or lanaddress:port cmd in the MacMini's URL space. In that way, I reach the the MacMini (reaching the MacMini's own JHS server process from its own Safari). In that context, all is also well!

So, I conclude the Safari on a Mac (like Edge on a Win box, or an old Safari on an old Mac Book or iPad) still works fine; only new IPadOS and IOS Safari are failing.
