Hmmm, the Bless isn't working, see if you can Run Disk Utility>First Aid on it , see if it says Rebuilding Boot Caches neasr the end of the repair.


If the SSD is APFS then reformat it HFS+ & try a Restore or Install.

thank you. since i'm impatient I’m trying to restore from time machine again and noticed that when i selected the drive that i wanted

the restore to (ssd drive) it said it had almost a T of storage available. the drive itself is 1T total.that would indicate that the restore didn’t restore properly on the ssd drive? that seems like it would be the issue. since there were no files to boot from? Hopefully it will work this time.
