after successful downloading the updated iOS 12.4.4.4 for. Y iPad mini 2 I cannot install. I get an error message saying I’m not connected to the internet, but I am! I’ve never had any problems before.

Yes, removal of the failed update should be straightforward.

Settings > General > iPad Storage

Scroll down the list of Apps until your find the “Update” file (it’ll be labelled with the version number) - then touch and swipe the the left to reveal the red Delete option. Touch Delete.

Welcome to the community.

You should by attempting a forced-restart of your iPad - which may clear the problem and allow you to complete the update. Simply press-and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears, then release; your iPad should restart.

Please let us know is this resolves the issue - and if not, we can try to work through the problem.

Nope. I followed all these instructions, verified my connection to the internet and still get the Unable to Verify Update error message that says iOS 12.4.4 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet.

Is there a way to get rid of the download to redownload it and then try installing it? Maybe the download is currupted?
