Apple Photos viewer splits my screen and I don't want it to

I'm trying to print some fine art photos from Apple Photos, but when I open an image I'm seeing only half the image, duplicated next to itself (i.e. the screen splits with the same half of the image duplicated on each side). Furthermore, they seem one two different edits of the same image! I've been using Photos happily since the unhappy demise of Aperture, and this has never happened before. And I'm a pretty heavy user. Anyone else run into this? I've attached a screen grab to make the issue crystal clear.

Thanks!

Hi there, johaimaru.

I see that, when you open a photo to prepare to print it, Photos opens only have and displays it twice. I'm glad to help with this.

Export photos, videos, and slideshows from Photos on Mac -- Export the photo and open it in Preview to see if it displays correctly.

Quit apps on Mac -- Quit Photos, if it's open, then restart your Mac: How to turn your Mac on or off . Once you're back to the Desktop, see how the photo displays in the Photos app.

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac -- If it still displays incorrectly, restart your Mac in safe mode and see how photos are displayed. If it works while in safe mode, reboot normally and test again in your own user account.

Let me know how that goes, and take care!
