My iPod Classic connects and then disconnects from my MacBook Air. How do I get it to stay connected so I can sync it?

Try a different cable. Check for fluff in the docking port.

Hello,

Most likely your iPod’s hard disk has failed. Due to the age of the device there is not much you can do about it.

The iPod still plays all the music stored on it so I believe the hard drive is okay. Any other thoughts?
