Macbook Air can't print PDF files to HP Envy Printer

Hi,

I have a Macbook Air 13 inch, 2018 with macOS Catalina (10.15.2)

I bought a HP Envy printer. However, I can't print PDF files, from any application like Numbers, Pages or anything else. The printer just spits out page after page, most are blank, some hav a few random characters on it.

It prints JPG and other images just fine. Test pages print just fine, both from the printer itself, and the printer web page. The Macbook is commiunicating very well with the printer over the same wifi network. Both have been rebooted any number of times, with no change in behavior.
