Safari Won’t Recognise App Store

My messenger app tells me it needs upgrading but when I try to connect to the App Store I get the message below “Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid” Any ideas how I can fix this please?

iPhone 6s, iOS 13

Hi - I had the exact same problem. The reason the App Store isn't showing (and you're receiving the "Can't open Safari" error message is due to your screen time settings. You have to make sure iTunes Store and/or App Store purchases are "Allowed."

Go to Settings -> Screen Time -> Content & Privacy Restrictions. Next, tap Allowed Apps. Make sure the switches next to Safari, iTunes Store, and Camera are turned on.

If you believe you deleted the App Store, go back to Settings -> Screen Time -> Content & Privacy Restrictions. Then, tap iTunes & App Store Purchases. Make sure it says next to Install Apps, Deleting Apps, and In-app Purchases. If one of these options says Don’t Allow, tap on it, then tap Allow. Here are the full instructions:

This should fix it, just fixed my wife's iPhone 6 by following the above steps.

Thanks for your message.

If I select the app store icon it says it has been updated and that I need to download the new version from the app store so I select update and the message "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid" appears. Messenger also shows as being out of date: "this version of the app is no longer supported. To see all your conversations please install the latest version" If I select the update button it does nothing and if I select the learn more button it takes me to facebook where I log in and follow the link to download the newest version from the app store. I then get the message saying "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid" If I ask Siri to open the app store it says 'I couldn't open app store' If I ask it to install it the response is "I can't do that you don't have the app store installed"

Round and round in circles basically!!!
