Why do I have to pay for an app again?

I had an app that was playing up so I deleted it hoping that it would help, so I went to the App Store to get it back and because I already payed for it on previously on that device and on another one of my other devices but no. Now I have to pay for it again!

why is that?

I see you're having an issue redownloading a previously purchased app. Did you purchase the app using the same Apple ID as the one you are using now? You can use the info here to check the purchase history associated with your Apple ID.


See your purchase history in the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support
