Would it be possible to get an older version of FCP running on a 13" 2011 MBP?

Hi. I know this might sound like a dumb question but I'm wondering if it would be possible to get an older version of Final Cut Pro X/Final Cut Pro trial running on a 2011 13" i5 4GB MacBook Pro.

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.12

You don’t need to update to High Sierra.

Apple doesn’t sell old versions of FCP. It has a trial version of 10.2.3 available for updating purposes. You can find a link to download it on this page

The trial version is good for 30 days. You can’t update to the paid version. After 30 days you would need to buy the application which is complicated to do with an older system.
