Apple ID locked for no reason

Hi ~

My Mac has told me twice now that I've been signed out of iCloud and that my Apple ID has been locked.

That seems suspicious to me, and there doesn't seem to be any way to see what activity caused that. My guess is multiple incorrect login attempts, except I am not the one who is doing that.

What could cause my Apple ID to keep getting locked? What can I do?

You might want to consider changing your password and making sure it is a strong one. You can also add 2 Factor Authentication to your account for more security. If the attempts continue, you might want to consider a name change.
