Sim not valid

I bought my new iPhone in your amazon store. I live in Russia. I get sim not valid when I use my sim. Can you help me?

If the phone was advertised as carrier unlocked, contact Amazon for a return/refund.

Apple does not have a store in Amazon, and Amazon is not an authorized reseller for Apple. Why can you not return the iPhone to Amazon, that is an online mailing service.
