AirPod Pro static in one ear.

Just today when I went to connect phone AirPod started having static issue. Put both in my ear and static reduced but voice quality was so poor that I had to abandon the use.

Have disconnected and re-installed. Same problem. Very disappointing considering how much I have paid.

Not sure what else to do at this point?????
