How do I connect my Beats Studio3 to my MacBook Pro?

For context, I always could connect wirelessly just fine. But then I finally caved and upgraded my OS from Yosemite to Catalina and now it won't. It's not my headphones because they connect fine to other devices. And it's not bluetooth on my computer because other devices connect fine. It's specifically these headphones to my Mac.

Basically my Beats won't show up in the bluetooth preferences to connect. It seems like my Mac is endlessly searching for the connection. The one time it did I got a connection failure.

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

Hey naom_i,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I’m sorry to hear that your Studios are no longer pairing with your Mac after upgrading to macOS Catalina. I may be able to offer some guidance.

First, where do you usually pair your Studios? If you regularly pair with an iPhone on iOS 11 or later, you can skip this step. Otherwise, you may need to check or a firmware update: Update the firmware of your Beats product

If a firmware update isn’t the resolution, try forgetting them from your Mac, resetting, and then pairing again. These guides will walk you through that process:

  1. System Preferences, click Bluetooth, select your Beats product, click the X, and then choose Forget Device.
  2. Reset your Beats on-ear or over-ear headphones
  3. Set up and use your Studio3 Wireless headphones

Hopefully this help.

Cheers!
