I recently ordered a new MacBook without realizing it was French. I know I can change the system language to English, but what about the keyboard?

It looks like I can get a keyboard skin from Amazon or elsewhere with the English keys, so I think this may work! Thanks for your help.
Okay, that’s very helpful. The French keyboard layout is different than English. Doing as you suggest would mean the keyboard would function as English, although what shows on the keys would still be French. Ie, what shows as the “A” key would actually type “Q”.

Yes, returning it within 14 days would be the only way to get a real English KB.
I'm a one finger hunt & peck typists, sothe given solution would not help me.
Oh, I suppose you could get an external English KB.
