Two apple ids with purchases

Can I combine? If not I hear you can do family sharing to access purchases from both Apple IDs across devices, how do I do this?

I have 2 apple ID. Can I make one the main one and Family share to the other? as I can't merge two apple ID's.and have purchases with both , can I somehow set up family sharing, with myself using the other ID? Would that eliminate the constant need to sign in the the correct ID every time? Sorry, I'm not up to speed anymore

You can't merge Apple IDs.
