Macbook Pro suddenly shut downs at battery > 50%

Hi dear members,

I am using Macbook Pro Mid15 15'' with OSX Mojave. The issue I am facing in my macbook is, it suddenly keep on shutting down even battery was greater than 50%, even it suddenly shut downed at battery 79%.

And when I pressed Power button, it displayed "Low Screen" battery icon asking me to charge and it didn't started up. Mac started when I plugged in charger and then it begun charging further from that level, in this case it started from 79%. My battery cycles count are 1131, and condition is 'Normal'.

I am not sure why I am facing this issue. Is it a battery issue or SMC setting error?

Kindly, do suggest some solution. Thanks.

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.14

According to this Apple article, https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201585 , "... the battery is considered consumed once it reaches the limit" and for your MacBook Pro, that limit is listed at 1000 cycles. Since your cycle count is 1131, its battery is considered "consumed," e.g. worn out. It is not surprising, given that info, that your battery is not lasting very long.

You can try an SMC reset ( https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295 ) but I think you should take the laptop to an Apple Store or an independent Apple authorized service center. They will run a special tool that will assess your battery, and will likely recommend that you replace it.
