Stop using Spotify. Reclaim 1GB.

1000Mb = 1 GB not that much(?)

You can try updating your 3rd party app. or

uninstall to test How to uninstall Spotify on a MAC? - The Spotify Community

Seems like a binary problem to me. Use the application, give up 1GB RAM, and realize that is the cost of using Spotify, or not use it all. There is nothing your fellow users can do about the Spotify runtime behavior.
