Apple Service Certification

what is the difference between going through the Atlas training for a model and taking the certification exam. Do I assume the Atlas training material is simply for review and that one must that the certification exam for Apple to recognize it?

ATLAS is the stuff that gives you the information to pass the exam. Not needed to enter the exam but extremely helpful in order to pass the exam. Now about those exams. There are 3 exams that are available. The first one is the Service Fundamentals Exam which you need to get 80% correct & 10/12 on ESD questions & 10/12 on safety questions in order to pass. Once you’ve passed that exam, you will then have the ability to take the last 2 exams which are Apple Certified iOS Technician (ACiT) & Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT). You can do both exams or just 1 if you want.
