How to make Photos from Catalina compatible to Mojave Photos app?

I have backed up Catalina and went back to Mojave and now my Mojave Photos app do not recognize the backed-up Photos folder from Catalina. Any suggestion how to make it work please?

I don't believe that is possible. The normal path would have been to restore the Photo Library from the same pre-Catalina backup as the rest of the system, then redo any edits or imports done since the time of that backup. Alternatively, you could have exported your photos while still on Catalina, then imported them into a new Mojave library.

If your library was connected to iCloud Photos and fully uploaded, you can create a new, empty Mojave Photos Library connected to the same iCloud Photos Library and let the photos download from iCloud.
