Safari Video Controls Popup

I am trying to watch videos from a tutorial website and the controls are at the bottom on the video, hidden by default. They appear if you hover your mouse at the bottom, but they disappear again as soon as you move the mouse, so I am unable to operate the controls for playback, speed, pause, volume, etc.

How do I fix this issue?
