How do I use my old iMac as a monitor with my new iMac. Old Mac has a mini display port new Mac has a usb-c. Tried a usb-c to usb adaptor and connected to old Mac and won't recognize it. Tried a usb-c to usb connector to a usb to a hdmi, HDMI cable to a to a hdmi Mini DisplayPort adaptor and plugged into old Mac .Still won't work

FWIW, I don't believe you can use a 21.5" iMac as a monitor.

Going out of the old Mac is a mini display port and into the new Mac has a usb-c . I can't find The cable for that only .That is why I had to use so many different adaptors to connect to those ports. I could also sync the to Macs but I can't get that to work either
