iPhone 5c 10.3.3

Is my phone basically useless now? The version doesn't support almost any of my usual apps. Very disappointed :(

Because it's 6 years old? The format is essentially the same, the functionality the same, just slower. Apps like Waze and Google maps worked perfectly fine, but now seemingly won't support 32bit, there is no easy way to download an older version of these apps, so THIS makes older devices useless, the lack of availability of older compatible apps. Win win for Apple.

Technology ages very fast. 6 years is a long time for one device. Please understand that smartphones in general are designed to last 2 - 3 years, not longer. You are very lucky if you get 6 years out of it. The competition (Android phones) do not even offer that much support, only Apple does. The functionality is the same, but it's now 64-bit (5c is 32-bit only) and also slower, yes, because newer software on older hardware is slower.

iOS 11 was the first version of iOS that wasn't supported anymore with the iPhone 5c, which has 32-bit hardware and therefore it cannot run 64-bit software, like iOS 11 or Apps designed for iOS 11. iOS 11 released in September 2017, it's now early 2020. Meaning that the 5c has been unsupported for a while now and Apps start to require atleast iOS 11 by now, which makes sense, since the latest version is iOS 13.

You have a phone that is over 6 years old. Please get a new phone.
