I had what looked like a software update in my settings app (red dot with a 1, was not an update however) it told me that I needed to sign in with my Apple ID password - I forget the exact reason it stated.. was this legit? Also I got nervous about it and changed my password right after but I couldn’t log into this forum with my new password- had to use the old one?? Thanks
If it was actually in the Settings app, it was probably legitimate.
