Downloading old version of adobe photoshop elements to iMac (2012)

I recently reset my iMac and updated OS to Catalina. I started the download for my purchased version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 at 10.17am yesterday and it’s still sitting at 951.8mb. I realise both the computer and the software are getting old but assume I need to have old version of adobe installed before I can purchase upgrade. Any thoughts or advice gratefully accepted.

Anything from Adobe from circa 2012 is likely far too old to work on Catalina.

It’ll almost certainly be a 32-bit app, and thus incompatible with anything after Mojave.

Photoshop Elements circa 2018 might or might not work.

Check with Adobe, or use go64 to check what’s installed.

And if your Adobe download is wedged, check with Adobe.
