I have my phone as a trusted device but I still can't log into my moviesanywhere.com account with my appleid.

I am just showing you the screenshots that show up when I try to log in, this is where it starts getting wonky because I have the 2 factor and I have to use it just to log into this apple id account, yet the same method that I used to log in to access this forum doesn't seem to work because the website pops up a second screen that you are commenting about. And to answer your question that is what the website brings up with the apple id, because after I enter my apple ID that trusted phone number is the factor that comes up to send the code, so what you saw is what apple used to factor. I am just going by the options that apple presents as forms of authentication. and the apple account had it set up under settings as required to log in by the movies anywhere site, because it pops up like that through the apple store computers where I tested this out.
