Popup blocker not working

Hello everyone!

I own a MacBook Pro 13" (bought 2014) macOS Sierra.

I have been struggling to fix it on my own but I think I am unable. I don´t know how, the popup windows stop being blocked and every time I open a new window a random website popups (spam, ads, etc) without consent, despite that:

Safari -> Preferences -> Websites -> Pop-up Window: ALL IS BLOCK.

I installed ADBlock engine but they are still popping up. I am unsure what I did for this to happened as it never happened before.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.12
