Sending texts

If I sent a text and they cannot receive it because they aren’t in service, if I put my phone in airplane mode closely after it is sent can they end up not receiving it or will they once they get service

Can’t text Android Phones I went on vacation and had to put my phone in airplane mode. Ever since I can’t text android phones. I can send photos and group messages but I can’t send or respond to individual texts. I tried my husbands SIM in my phone and it worked. there is no alert that says the message didn’t send

Are you able to green text someone if they have no service If I send someone a green text instead of an iMessage but they don’t have service will the message still send and will they receive it when they finally have service again or wil it just fail to send?

If you have already sent, you have no control over the message.
