Share problem

I can't share an iMovie project to anything. It keeps coming back Share Failed. "This is null".

iMac, OS X 10.11

Here are some things to try:

Try sharing out with the Best Quality (pro res) setting.

Try creating a new library and copying your project to it. Then close the original library and see if you can share out from the new library.

Try creating a new project, put your media into it, and see if the new project shares.

What resolution, frame rate, and format are your clips? Have you scrolled through your project looking for white flashes, black frames, artifacts, and other indications of corruption? Have you checked to see if you have sufficient space on your drive for iMovie to function efficiently (at least 10GB, and sufficient space also to receive the movie at the share destination?
