Apple TV 4K bluetooth can't find Sony WH1000XM3 headphones
My Apple TV searches (Bluetooth) but cannot fine my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones. Sony asked if A2DP was supported by Apple TV. I don't know.

Yes it is supported. All bluetooth devices capable of streaming music (i.e. better than just voice) will have that profile.
Be sure to put your headphones in pairing mode first. Then have the Apple TV search for them (from the menu) at close range.
