Remove device from Find My
Hi. How to permanently remove device from Find My without remotely erasing? It keeps popping up. Someone is using the device so don’t wanna erase and cause panic for that person. It was given away. Thanks.

just got off the phone from apple support.
they said that the device will only appear if it is signed in with my apple id which is horrendous. i have inititated an erase. thanks for all your help.
thanks. that's what I did. but the device keeps reappearing. I forgot to sign out when I gave it away.
but I did wipe the device before I gave it away. considered safe?
thanks. but i have already wiped the device using disk utility before giving it away. why does it keep coming up in Find My?
It has removed only activation lock , if you see the device erase it .

thanks but if i initiate the erase, the current user will panic as his data will be erase.
i forgot to sign out before i wiped the data off the device using disk utility.
