If you can’t send or receive emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. First, update your iPhone. If that is of no success, probably an issue with protocols (SMTP and POP); remove the eMail Account and add it back; as a last resort, reset the iPhone to Factory Settings.
