11 pro max charging port

Took my phone into the shower to listen to some music. It may have received a few drops but nothing substantial enough to damage. I’ve noticed now with charging, head phones or any other accessories I have to “flip” charger to the perfect side in order for it to charge or etc. would the whole phone need to be replaced? I’m just shocked that this is happening. My 7plus went through a whole wash/steam cycle in my washing machine and was perfectly fine after words.
