I received a phone call caller id Apple which said security was threatened and to talk to support personal. It sounds dodgy to me...

It’s not merely dodgy, it’s an outright scam. Apple will never call anyone like that. They return your service call if you made one, but they don’t call about issues until you bring them up first with Apple support.
