AirPods Bluetooth Connect to Windows 10 Device

I was successfully able to pair my AirPods to my Windows 10 device (Surface laptop), but when click "Connect", it only stays connected for about 10 seconds before disconnecting. I've tried removing and repairing the AirPods multiple times, but no luck.

I think I found a fix, I had the same problem today out of nowhere.

Make sure your AirPods are currently connnected to your computer.

Windows search "sound settings".

Under the gray troubleshoot button, click "Manage Sound Devices".

Under "Output Devices", right click [yourAirPodsnameHere] Hands-Free AG Audio, and disable it.

(Don't touch the AirPods Stereo option)

Hope it works for you, I was super annoyed until I got it to work!
