Disappearing icon
The Message icon on my fairly new Iphone7 keeps disappearing. It's there for split second when phone is turned on and then disappears leaving blank space. But its there and working.

Hi MysteryEMan,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I see you're having an issue with the Messages app icon on your iPhone, and I'd like to do what I can to help.
Going with some basic troubleshooting, as this is an unusual issue.
Have you restarted your iPhone since noticing this issue? If not, go ahead and do that, as a restart can resolve unusual issues.
Is your iOS up to date? The latest is iOS 13.3. If not, then back up your iPhone and update the iOS.
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you're still having the same issue, then it may be something within the iOS which didn't load as expected. What you can do is remove and restore the iOS using iTunes or Finder (macOS Catalina) on your computer.
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings
Then set up your iPhone as new first, to test. If it's no longer happening, restore your iPhone to the backup you made earlier.
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup
Take care!

Restart did the trick. Can't believe it was that simple. Thanks for the assistance.
Hey MysteryEMan,
We're so glad to hear that the restart resolved your issue!
